Not everyone may consider Hollister an “authentic designer”, but for all the kids and teens / tweens out there, hollister is a weekly visit for some new clothes. That long with Abercrombie & Fitch. These stores sell clothes by the boat load.
So today I got an email from Hollister — yes I am on their mailing list! And they were telling me to skip school. A good thought, but since I’m not in school I guess I can skip work.
Anyways here is the New shirt style and jeans they’re offering and where on the site you can Skip School “Cali Style“.
Just got another email from Revolve Clothing with a bunch of new stuff at Revolve from Designers such as Catherine Holstein, Les Prairies De Paris, Pencey, Michael Stars, Tolani, Skin by Nude and others among them.
The one that caught my interest was the Catherine Holstein Collection. Not because the picture in the email was particularly interesting. Take a look:

If you are into fashion and you are not living under a rock, you have heard of the movie entitled “The Devil Wears Prada“. It is out now and even been played on TV. Check out the trailer:
I own my copy and its a great movie recommended for fashion buffs. I love the line when Andy says “Gabana… How do you spell that?”
And for all those involved in fashion or into it, will appreciate the line Miranda says in the movie:
Miranda: This… ’stuff’? Oh… ok. I see, you think this has nothing to do with you. You go to your closet and you select out, oh I don’t know, that lumpy blue sweater, for instance, because you’re trying to tell the world that you take yourself too seriously to care about what you put on your back. But what you don’t know is that that sweater is not just blue, it’s not turquoise, it’s not lapis, it’s actually cerulean. You’re also blithely unaware of the fact that in 2002, Oscar De La Renta did a collection of cerulean gowns. And then I think it was Yves St Laurent, wasn’t it, who showed cerulean military jackets? And then cerulean quickly showed up in the collections of 8 different designers. Then it filtered down through the department stores and then trickled on down into some tragic casual corner where you, no doubt, fished it out of some clearance bin. However, that blue represents millions of dollars and countless jobs and so it’s sort of comical how you think that you’ve made a choice that exempts you from the fashion industry when, in fact, you’re wearing the sweater that was selected for you by the people in this room. From a pile of stuff.
